Happy New Year!!! Better late than never right?? I can safely say this year started off running and doesn't look like it's going to slow down any time soon.
We ended 2012 and brought in 2013 back up north with family and friends. At the request of a special family member, we decided to go to the great cold north in the middle of winter. The boys hadn't really seen snow since we moved so they were very much looking forward to that. It was also Carolina's first time on a plane so there was lots of anxiety leading up to the trip. I'll have a full trip report soon.
Now that we're back home, and the last three boxes we had to mail home since we ran out of room arrive tomorrow, I'm trying to get back into a routine and schedule. I've given myself the month of January to get my life together. From the outside looking in, things look pretty good but from my perspective I'm barely hanging on some days. You don't know how hard it is for me to finally admit that. Trying to be the "perfect" wife, mom, daughter, friend, co-worker and everything else is completely exhausting. Hopefully this month I'll be able to get things both at work and at home organized so I don't have some much stress and anxiety all the time. While I'm on this journey I plan on sharing the ups and downs to hopefully help someone else.
Another thing I want to get a better grasp on is my little piece of the internet. I've struggled for so long trying to find my niche and what I wanted this blog to really be. I think I've finally convinced myself that I don't have to fit into one group - mommy, Disney, parenting, travel, giveaways, deals, reviews, scrapbooking, baking, party planning, crafting - to be successful. Writing about my life and my sweet family is what works for me regardless of what road that takes us down. I'm not a one dimensional person and that's not what I want for this blog either.
How did you bring in 2013? Any goals or resolutions?
Brought in the year working that night, as well as my wife. However, we are going to Disneyworld this Friday! Yea, Mickey!! Love your blog..
